The First Red Story: Olives & Plates
This year has been a quiet unfolding - a year of seeking, of listening, of following small clues that kept leading me back to myself. And somewhere along the way, a single colour began to reappear in my work and in my personal life: red.
At first it felt subtle. A hint, a suggestion.
Then it became louder… more insistent… until it was clear:
Red was becoming the colour of my new season.
A renaissance. A return. A rising.
So when I walked into my latest shoot — a private function catered by Olives & Plates — and found the entire space dressed in shades of crimson and ruby, I knew this wasn’t a coincidence.
It was alignment.
The room was a celebration of red in every form.
Glossy cherries.
Velvety florals.
Tinted glass and glowing candles.
Harvest tables overflowing with colour and abundance.
Every dish plated with intention - bold, sensory and sculptural.
Photographing this event felt like photographing the opening chapter of my Red Renaissance - a visual echo of the inner shift I’ve been experiencing for months.
This is the first of many Red Stories I’ll be sharing in the weeks to come. Stories of passion, rebirth, creativity, and courage — all told through my lens, and all touched by red.
ROUGE. ROJO. RED.
The season has begun.
