Portraits with Presence

There’s something special about working with talent who not only knows the camera—but owns it. That’s exactly what happened during my recent portrait session with Jacqui Fernandes, a rising star represented by GAPA Model Agency. Jacqui’s portfolio includes commercial campaigns, brand ads, and a few on-screen cameos—and her experience shone through in every frame.

We shot at my home studio in Midstream Estate, which gave us the ideal mix of professional setup and relaxed environment. Jacqui arrived with her signature confidence and a strong sense of who she is—not just as a model, but as a woman making her mark in the industry.

Crisp, clean portraits for agency and brand submissions

  1. Versatile looks ranging from polished and commercial to natural and emotive

  2. Soft studio lighting & natural light to enhance her features while allowing her personality to shine

  3. Tighter headshots ideal for castings, press kits, and acting roles

What stood out most was Jacqui’s ability to shift gears effortlessly—moving from commercial polish to something more raw and expressive, which is every photographer’s dream. We created a range of imagery that reflects both her professional versatility and on-camera strength.

The beauty of working in my own space meant we could experiment without pressure—adding creative direction and working in moments of spontaneity. Jacqui’s energy was radiant, and it made for a session that felt less like work and more like collaborative storytelling.

Working one-on-one with talent like Jacqui reminds me why I love portrait photography. It’s about more than just flattering light and good angles—it’s about seeing someone, and capturing that essence for the world to engage with.
